UH women’s volleyball cancels trip to Hawaii Island due to approaching tropical storm

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team announced on Thursday the cancelation of it’s trip to Hawaii Island.

Due to the approach of Tropical Storm Lala, the Rainbow Wahine will no longer fly to Hilo this weekend.

The Rainbow Wahine were set to take on Hawaii Hilo in an exhibition match on Saturday at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

They were also set to host a joint keiki clinic on Friday.

The match would also serve as first-year head coach Joshua Walker’s debut on the sideline for the Wahine.
