Rainbow Wahine win Outrigger Invitational, downs UC San Diego in five sets
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team goes undefeated on the weekend to win the 2026 Outrigger Invitational.

UH wrapping up a long and gritty weekend in a five set victory over former Big West Conference foe UC San Diego.
Sunday was UH’s second-straight five-set win of the weekend.
“Owning the moment, we worked so hard and we just said like we want it, this is our house and then hearing all the fans,” Tali Hakas told K5’s Ryan Kalei Tsuji. “It’s just like if you’re not doing it for us, do it for them because that noise is what kept us going.”
A strong showing against UCSD, winning the battle at the net, UH with 18 blocks compared to the Tritons 7.

Panna Ratkai brought the juice with a match high 19 kills.
“Finding solutions, it’s not over until it’s over, till the last play is done,” Head coach Joshua Walker said. “So regardless of how we start and how we are playing throughout the match, it’s like, OK, are we able to be consistent, stay focused.”
The Rainbow Wahine stay home next week for a two-match series against Central Arkansas.
Both games will be shown on K5, coverage on Thursday and Friday begins at 6:30 p.m. Hawaii time.
