Naked man arrested for murder after fatal beating at West Maui condo-resort
KAHANA (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 20-year-old Lahaina man is in custody on suspicion of second-degree murder after a fatal beating at a West Maui condominium resort, police said.

Officers responded to the Sands of Kahana on Lower Honoapiilani Road at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, where they found the body of a 63-year-old man.
Police: Attack caught on camera
Police said surveillance video showed a naked man attacking the victim in his office at about 1:45 a.m. before fleeing on foot.
Nearby resident Gina Lombardi said she heard screaming during the night.
“I heard a man screaming like Jesus stuff. ‘Jesus loves you. Jesus is me. I am Jesus.’ Really crazy and over and over and over. He probably screamed it like 15 times,” she said.

Suspect found wandering nearby
Police said that at around 3:30 a.m., officers responding to a report of a nude man wandering through a Kahana neighborhood found the suspect with numerous abrasions.
He was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center for an evaluation.
Investigators later determined the man found in Kahana was the same man depicted in the surveillance footage, police said.

He was taken to the Wailuku Police Station and arrested.
