Devin Schoeppner, 49, was indicted by a Maui grand jury last week on charges of second- and third-degree sexual assault.

Prosecutors said the charges stem from an encounter with a driver following a single-car crash.

The County of Maui Department of the Prosecuting Attorney said the investigation remains ongoing and is asking anyone who may have had interactions with Schoeppner, recently or in the past, to come forward.

“We believe there are individuals who had interactions with Mr. Schoeppner or know someone who did,” Prosecuting Attorney Andrew Martin said. “We ask anyone who may have information to please contact us.”

Martin said information will be handled with discretion and care, and investigators will continue following up on any information related to Schoeppner.

Anyone with information is asked to contact FBI Honolulu at (808) 566-4300 or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov.
