HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Former Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee Kamaki Kanahele has died. He was 81 years old.

Kanahele was a Native Hawaiian leader from Nanakuli and passed away over the weekend.

He was also an administrator for OHA and was the poʻo of Dr. Agnes Kalanihookaha Cope Center for Traditional Native Hawaiian Healing at the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
