First Alert Forecast: Light trade winds with scattered showers expected to linger through Thursday
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Trade winds will remain light to moderate through much of the week as the remnant circulation of Tropical Cyclone Genevieve lingers far NE of the islands. Clouds and showers will favor windward and mauka areas and may be a little more frequent for the western half of the state this week due to an upper level trough. Trade winds are expected to increase this weekend.

The east swell from Genevieve offers the biggest surf today, but conditions are still a bit rough. A small south pulse is due this weekend, next week a series of moderate south swells is expected to fill in.
