6 juveniles charged; 7th suspect arrested in North Shore mob beating
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A seventh person has been arrested, and six juveniles have been charged in connection with an assault on Oʻahu’s North Shore.

Just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police said a 19-year-old man turned himself in to officers at the Kāneʻohe Police Station, and he was arrested for attempted assault in the first degree.
Earlier, police said a 17-year-old turned himself in Thursday at the department’s Alapa‘i Station. A petition was filed in Family Court, and he was charged with attempted assault in the first degree.
The arrests were made in connection with an attack that occurred Saturday, May 30, at Waialēʻe Beach, commonly known as “Dead Man’s Curve.”
Detectives determined a 23-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were assaulted by multiple individuals and suffered significant injuries that required medical treatment, police said.

Five juveniles were arrested earlier in the week.
Three suspects — a 17-year-old and two 14-year-olds — were identified and arrested on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday, two more male suspects, ages 15 and 17, turned themselves in separately to officers in Kāneʻohe.
Petitions were filed Wednesday in Family Court charging all five with attempted assault in the first degree.
In addition, the two 17-year-old male suspects were charged with attempted assault in the second degree, police said.
Police also arrested the five on suspicion of kidnapping, though no kidnapping charges were filed.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated, police said.
