The program offers 7-10 week accelerated classes open to all ages, designed to get students in and out quickly. Upon completion, participants receive a credential that makes it easier to find jobs.
Workforce development advocates Linda Fehoko of C2C Workforce and Pat Anbe of Hawaii Adult Education joined HNN Sunrise to share details about upcoming training opportunities that are opening doors in healthcare and construction.
The classes reflect the demand for more employees in phlebotomy and construction.

“It’s an in-demand opportunity. The employers I’ve spoken with have said they need to fill positions, so if someone has a core construction industry-recognized credential, it shows they’re committed and ready to work,” Anbe said.
The program is aimed to help those seeking higher opportunities to save money.
“You will not have to go to a community college and pay $3,000. I mean, we’re here to provide an opportunity, realistic with livable wage,” Fehoko said.
Fehoko said it will also help keep people from leaving Hawaii to seek other opportunities.
