HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man was seriously injured Saturday morning in a non-fatal shark attack at Cromwell’s Beach.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said crews responded around 6:30 a.m. and found a 38-year-old man with serious injuries to his lower extremities. EMS administered life-saving treatment before transporting him to a hospital in serious condition.
Ocean Safety officials later issued a shark warning after confirming an aggressive shark near the Cromwell’s swim area and surf break.

A separate shark warning was also issued around 7:20 a.m. at Ala Moana Bowls, where lifeguards reported two aggressive sharks in the surf break area.
Officials are advising the public to stay out of the water in affected areas and to heed all posted warnings.
