Hawaii honors life and service of Colleen Hanabusa
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Family, friends, and community leaders will gather Saturday, May 30, to celebrate the life and service of longtime Hawaii politician and attorney Colleen Hanabusa.

A memorial service will take place at Hosoi Garden Mortuary, in Honolulu, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., and services at 2 p.m.
Hanabusa served in the U.S. Congress, representing Hawaii’s first District from 2011 to 2015.

She returned to Congress in 2016, after the death of U.S. Rep. Mark Takai.
During her decades-long political career, Hanabusa also served as a state senator, and state senate president.

Hanabusa died on March 6, at the age of 74.
