HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Mostly sunny with windward and mauka showers. Trade winds will be steady, about 10-15 mph with locally higher gusts. The winds go light on Sunday so expect more clouds and maybe some sprinkles on the leeward side as the light winds heat up the ground and as that rises makes more clouds and possible rain.

Next week: Moisture will move in from the northwest, and perhaps some enhanced moisture Monday thru Wednesday.

Trades will start to work their way back into the forecast as we go late Wednesday into Thursday and back to regular trade wind weather thru to the weekend.

Caution is advised for the SOUTH facing shores of all islands due to the high surf; High Surf Advisory is in effect for those shorelines where large waves are expected. Due to the high tides greater than 2 feet in the afternoon combined with the high level surf; use caution on South facing shores especially with the keiki and small pets. The waves are from a storm near Aotearoa thru mid-week.
