HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A high surf advisory is posted this weekend for the south-facing shores of all islands as the first south swell of the season arrives.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu said the high surf advisory will be in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday for waves of 8 to 12 feet.
Strong breaking waves and shore breaks will make swimming difficult and dangerous.
