Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash near Hawaii Pacific University

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision on Kamehameha Highway near Hawaii Pacific University Tuesday morning.

Honolulu EMS said the 39-year-old woman was wearing a helmet when her motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

Paramedics treated her at the scene and transported her to an area hospital in serious condition.

Witness Taylor Denmark said he was only seconds behind the motorcyclist when the crash happened.

“Just drive with Aloha and it’s not that serious to let someone drive right in front of you for three seconds,” Denmark said. “The light’s not worth the life in my eyes.”

It remains unclear what caused the collision.
