Restoration efforts underway after about 2K without power in Hawaii Kai
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii Electric is working to restore power to thousands in the Hawaii Kai area Sunday.

The outage was reported at around 8:08 p.m. and initially affected 13,750 Hawaiian Electric customers in:
At 8:30 p.m., HECO said on X (formerly Twitter) that first responders are en route. The outage is not a Public Safety Power Shutoff.

Just before 9 p.m., some of the area’s power was restored.
According to HECO’s outage map, as of 9:09 p.m., 2,754 customers are without power in Hahaione, Hawaii Kai, Koko Head, Koko Marina and Portlock.
