Kalihi native and entrepreneur Johny Le founded Grand Hawaii Electric in 2018 after spending over 15 years in the electrical industry working on major construction projects throughout Hawaii.
The company specializes in residential electrical design, repair, panel replacement, lighting, EV charger installation and other services.
“I saw an opportunity to provide honest, reliable, and high-quality electrical service with strong customer communication,” he said. “I wanted to build a company focused on professionalism, customer experience, and long-term trust within the community.”

The entrepreneur caught the attention of Hawaii Business Magazine, which selected Grand Hawaii Electric for its annual Small Business Editors’ Choice list.
“My goal is to continue growing Grand Hawaii Electric throughout Hawaii while also developing it into a nationwide franchise opportunity,” Le said. “I want to create opportunities for electricians who are skilled in the trade but may not know how to run or market a business. Ultimately, I want to build a respected brand that helps raise the standard for electrical service across the country.”
