Man arrested for attempted murder after rifle fired near Kahaluu church
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man was arrested Thursday after allegedly firing a rifle at another man near a church in Kahaluu.

According to the Honolulu Police Department, at around 2 p.m., a 38-year-old man reported that after an argument, the suspect, a 45-year-old man, allegedly pointed a black rifle at him and fired in his direction but missed. The suspect then fled on foot.
HPD said officers checked the surrounding area and located the suspect near Kamehameha Highway and Lihikai Drive.

Police arrested the suspect without incident on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
