Officials said about 20,000 gallons of wastewater overflowed into a drainage ditch Tuesday morning after electrical failures at the Waimea Wastewater Treatment Plant.

County officials said plant operators quickly restored the affected equipment.
Crews also disinfected and cleaned the area impacted by the spill.
