Hawaiian Humane Society waives adoption fees through weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Hawaiian Humane Society is waiving its adoption fees all weekend long in hopes of finding forever homes for their animals.

The Clear the Shelters event runs through Monday, Aug. 31, offering free adoption for all available pets.

Participating Oahu shelters include their Moiliili Campus, Kosasa Family Campus at Hoopili, and select Petco locations.

They will also host a special off-site dog adoption event with Blood Bank of Hawaii at Kaiser Permanente West Oahu.

The adoption event takes place Saturday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Kaiser Permanente located at 401 Kamokila Boulevard.

Dogs at the blood bank event will also be available for free adoption.

The Hawaiian Humane Society partnered with Hill’s Pet Nutrition on their Clear the Shelters campaign.

Anyone who adopts a pet through the weekend will also receive a pet parent kit from Hill’s, which includes a bag of Hill’s Science Diet food, a coupon, and post-adoption tips.
