Academy alums Christian Whitney from HECO and Mike Hamada from Servco joined HNN’s Sunrise to talk about their experience and why others should consider applying for the five-week course developed by the Hawaii Employers Council and Hawaii Business Magazine.

Launched in late 2025, the academy is designed for director-level and senior professionals with at least five years of managerial experience across all industries in Hawaii. Its goal is to equip rising executives with adaptive, inclusive, and future-focused leadership skills to manage complex workforce challenges and generational shifts.

The program is designed for participants to harness their innate leadership strengths, engage with guest speakers who provide fresh perspectives and invaluable leadership insights, and build a powerful professional network, connecting with like-minded peers from diverse industries and organizations.
