HDOT says baggage screening outage at HNL resolved

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An issue involving baggage screening equipment at Terminal 2 of the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Sunday has been resolved.

As of 2:37 p.m. Sunday, the Hawaii Department of Transportation said the issue had been resolved and was no longer recommending passengers arrive earlier than usual.

The baggage screening equipment outages at Terminal 2 were reported at around 10 a.m., and HDOT had previously advised travelers to arrive at least two and a half hours before their flight.

Officials said the outages did not affect wait times at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints.

With the screening outage at Terminal 2 resolved, HDOT said all passengers can use the regular guidelines found here.
