Kailua military officer sentenced to 20 years in prison for child sexual enticement
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Hawaii military officer convicted of trying to sexually entice a child must now serve 20 years in prison.

On Wednesday, Lt. Col. Ross Andre Brown, 44, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for two counts of attempted sexual enticement of a minor, two counts of attempted exploitation of a minor, and two counts of attempted receipt of child pornography.
Brown was convicted of trying to have sex with a 14-year-old girl named Izzy, who was actually an undercover law enforcement officer.

He served as a lawyer in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps, stationed in Hawaii and represented himself during the trial.
During the trial, Brown admitted to being a “compulsive chatter” and to having sent approximately 6,000 messages across social media platforms, including Whisper.

A federal jury convicted him on Feb. 27.
The court ordered he must pay $115,000 to his victims.
