Komo Mai Drive contraflowed due to downed power lines
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Police Department contraflowed Komo Mai Drive Saturday night due to downed power lines as Hurricane Lala nears Oahu.

Police initially reported a full closure at 1840 Komo Mai Drive, temporarily blocking vehicle access in and out of the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
The public is advised to avoid the area. Crews are working to address the hazard and reopen the road when it is safe to do so.

Pacific Palisades residents who are unable to return home may go to a city hurricane refuge area. Nearby options include Moanalua High School and Mililani High School.
