Moped rider struck with weapon, robbed outside Waipahu 7-Eleven
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police are investigating a first-degree robbery that occurred early Monday morning at the 7-Eleven on Farrington Highway in Waipahu.

Police said around 3:30 a.m., a 62-year-old man was preparing to leave the store on his moped when he was approached by two men. One suspect demanded the victim’s moped and struck him with a weapon after the victim fell while attempting to flee.

The second suspect then took the victim’s yellow moped and fled westbound on Farrington Highway, while the first suspect fled on foot in the same direction.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
