Dog rescued from Kona Low floods needs forever home
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A dog rescued from the Kona Low floods is still looking for a new home months later.

Taylor is a four-year-old pointer mix who was found while rescuers were looking for another lost dog on March 21.
Taylor was suffering from an eye issue when he was found and required eye surgery.
Three months after the surgery, Taylor is now in a fostering program, wagging his tail and socializing.
Hawaii Pointer Rescue is trying to find his forever home.
“Taylor is one of our flood dogs,” said Carolynn Duncan, from Hawaii Pointer Rescue. “He was rescued during the Wailalua floods in March. He was found in a van in five feet of water.”
Taylor is best suited for a calm home with kids older than 10, no cats, and up to one other small dog.

He’s described as having a medium energy level and enjoys walks, playtime, and “lots of chill indoor family time.”
He’s does not dog parks, but he has thrived in his foster home for three months, which he shares with two adult humans and a small dog.
His foster family says he is playful, snuggly, and full of love.
“For us, Taylor is one of the longest resident dogs that we’ve had,” Duncan said. “He’s probably a one-in-a-million dog. We’re going to need to get the reach out a little bit more.”
