Roman Catholic Church in Hawaii to install new Honolulu bishop
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Roman Catholic Church in Hawaii will officially welcome a new bishop Tuesday, July 28, when Father Michael Thomas Tupou Castori, SJ, is ordained and installed as the sixth bishop of the Diocese of Honolulu.

The episcopal ordination and installation Mass begins at 10 a.m. at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa in Honolulu’s Kalihi-Palama neighborhood. Following the ceremony, Father Castori will become Bishop Michael Thomas Tupou Castori, SJ.

Current diocesan leader Bishop Larry Silva, who has served for 21 years, will become Bishop Emeritus Larry Silva on July 28.
