Redesigned driver’s licenses available through new online portal

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The City and County of Honolulu said eligible Oahu residents can get the newly redesigned Hawaii driver’s license through an online portal.

The city announced Thursday that it has launched a new portal that is quick and secure for Oahu drivers to request a duplicate card.

The city Department of Customer Services previously said the redesign includes 50 security features intended to deter forgery and verify authenticity.

City officials said all information must be up to date and no changes will be allowed. The card will be printed with the information on file.

The fee for a new online duplicate is $7, and the new card will be mailed within five weeks. A temporary paper license/permit will not be mailed.
