Maui firefighters extinguish brush fire in Wailuku
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Maui Fire Department extinguished a brush and grass fire burning in Wailuku on Thursday.

Firefighters received the call at 7:54 p.m. and arrived to find a brush fire burning southwest of Waiko Road in the area of Manea Place.
Firefighters had to move concrete barriers to access the area and attacked the fire, bringing it under control by 8:15 p.m.

Firefighters remained on the scene to mop up and fully extinguish the fire, which concluded at 9:30 p.m.
