Oahu residents asked to weigh in on water quality

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Oahu residents are being asked to weigh in on their water quality.

Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services is asking residents to help shape the island’s water quality priorities by participating in the Oahu Clean Water Survey.

The five-minute survey launched Thursday and will be open through Aug. 23.

The survey asks questions about the public’s water-related concerns, like runoff, contamination threats, and costs.

Officials are developing a plan to improve wastewater and storm water systems island-wide.

The survey will help the department’s leaders determine funding priorities for the near future.
