Suspect in Haiku sexual assault cases sentenced on drug charges
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 46-year-old man sentenced on drug charges earlier this month is also at the center of an investigation into a string of home invasion and sexual assault cases in the Haiku area spanning 2017 to 2025.

Court documents reveal German Manuel Zboron was arrested December 3, 2025, after Maui Police identified him as the suspect in an assault and home invasion involving a baby in July 2023.
During a search of Zboron’s vehicle the day after his arrest, officers claim they found baggies of cocaine and fentanyl totaling more than 19 grams.

Zboron pleaded guilty to one count of possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute. On July 6, he was sentenced to five months in prison and three years of supervised release.
No charges have been filed against Zboron in the July 2023 case.
A criminal complaint was filed against him in one of the other sexual assault cases, but he was never prosecuted. HNN contacted the Maui Police Department for an update on the investigations.
