Police investigate stranger danger report in Waikiki
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Police Department is investigating a stranger danger incident at the Waikiki hotel pool area Sunday.

According to HPD, at around 2 p.m., an unknown man allegedly approached several children, including a 9-year-old boy, and offered them gum and money to accompany him to his hotel room.
Authorities said the suspect also allegedly asked the children for their names and wrote them in a notebook.

HPD said the children refused and the man walked away.
Police describe the suspect as a man with gray hair, wearing a black shirt, gray shorts, sunglasses, carrying a black backpack and a black laptop-style bag.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300.
