49th Na Hoku Hanohano Awards celebrate Hawaii’s top musicians
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The 49th annual Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards ceremony takes place Saturday at the Sheraton Waikiki with Hawaii News Now’s Rachel Pacarro and Billy V as emcees.

Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards are presented annually by the Hawai‘i Academy of Recording Arts (HARA) to celebrate commercially available recordings created, produced, and/or engineered and primarily distributed in Hawai‘i.
This year’s theme, “E Paepae Hou,” is a reminder of the first stones laid — the foundation of the voices, oli, stories and music of Hawaiʻi.
Saturday’s event includes performances by Hālau ʻO Kekuhi, Ei Nei, Taimane, Poʻokela, Anthony Pfluke, Ahe Mālie and T.J. Keanu Tario, Izik, Kimié Miner, Natalie Ai Kamauu, Kainani Kahaunaele and Kaniaulono Hāpai, and Kalapana.
