HPD, EMS give update on fireworks-related calls during 4th of July

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police and emergency crews gave updates on fireworks-related calls during the Fourth of July.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Service said crews reported no fireworks-related patient transports on Oahu during the Fourth of July holiday.

EMS officials said crews handled their normal call volume, but no one required transport for injuries directly linked to fireworks.

No additional details were released.

The Honolulu Police Department said officers responded to 58 fireworks-related calls for service.

The department said it’s a preliminary figure, and they’re still collecting information on all fireworks-related cases from this weekend.
