Over 250 marchers, 45 vehicles, 20 floats, three bands, Gov. Josh Green and Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi marched the one-mile path to Kailua Intermediate School.
Crowds lined Kainalu Drive to check out the colorful floats, classic cars and marching bands.
“Everyone’s gathered here. This is Kailua. They know how to party and this is one of the ones that they really show their patriotism and such a support for our community and there’s a lot of military down here. They come out in numbers,” said resident Danny Gomez.
