Soccer fans cheer poolside as US advances in World Cup
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Team USA notched another World Cup win Wednesday, and fans on Oʻahu had a unique place to watch it.

At Wet’n’Wild’s wave pool, dozens cheered on the red, white and blue from floaties as the U.S. Men’s National Team faced Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Team USA earned a 2-0 win and will face Belgium on Monday in the Round of 16.
Wet’N’Wild is showing all of the World Cup games going forward, including the final match on July 19.
“We got club teams on Oahu supporting the U.S., Honolulu Bulls are here supporting and big crowds so it’s awesome,” said general manager Scott Loos.
Soccer fan Huxley Holseter added, “Once I watch it, I can become a better soccer player. It encourages me to get better.”
Wet’N’Wild says a lot of the youth soccer teams have been watching the game there.

In fact, you could get into the park and watch the game for just $20.26 if you show up wearing any soccer jersey.
“We got the food. We got the drinks. We got covered parking. You can sit here and relax. Your kids are out and can be crazy and the parents can enjoy and watch the game too,” Loos said.
Soccer fan Mya Gutierrez said, “I think it’s really cool that you can go somewhere fun and watch at the same time because you can see it from up there on the slides too.”
