Honolulu police search for motorcyclist following Kalihi hit-and-run
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police are looking for a motorcyclist accused of hitting a pedestrian in a crosswalk and leaving the scene in Kalihi.

The crash happened on Saturday, around 3:50 a.m. on Nimitz Highway near the Sand Island Access Road intersection.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when it struck a 71-year-old woman walking in a marked crosswalk.
The rider kept going without stopping to render aid or provide information, police said. The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Investigators say speed appears to be a contributing factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
