The airline’s specially painted Airbus A330 features the phrase “Aloha a puni ka honua,” which means “Aloha all around the world.”

“This livery is a powerful symbol of what it means for Hawaiian Airlines to be part of the oneworld alliance — sharing aloha, Olelo Hawaii and our deep connection to Hawaii with more people around the globe,” said Managing director of Hawaii marketing for Hawaiian Airlines, Alisa Onishi.

The aircraft retains the airline’s signature Pualani tail design and maile lei artwork, while adding oneworld alliance branding.

“The opportunity that we have is to connect even more guests around the world with Aloha and with Hawaii and introduce them to Hawaiian culture, language and visiting this beautiful place,” said Hawaiian Airlines’ Chief Executive Officer, Diana Birkett.

As part of the unveiling, Hawaiian Airlines donated $10,000 each to Iolani Palace and the Polynesian Voyaging Society to support organizations that preserve Hawaii’s culture and traditions.

The airline said its oneworld membership allows HawaiianMiles members to earn and redeem miles and receive elite benefits across the alliance’s 15 other member airlines, which serve nearly 1,000 destinations in more than 170 countries.
