Repaving to temporarily close lots at 2 West Oahu beach parks

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Parking lot repaving is scheduled at two West Oahu beach parks, prompting temporary closures.

The City and County of Honolulu said the parking lot at Surfer’s Beach Park will close July 6–10, followed by Nani Kai Beach Park July 13–17.

Both parks will remain open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., but parking lots will be inaccessible during the work.

City officials said each project is expected to take about a week, weather permitting.

The nearly $239,000 repaving project was awarded to Seal Pros and follows similar improvements completed at several Leeward Coast parks last fall.
