Popular Kauai trail temporarily closes due to ongoing repairs

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A popular trail on Kauai’s North Shore will temporarily close Monday, June 29.

Kaumumene Trail, also known as Hideaways Trail, which leads to a beach near the Princeville St. Regis, is expected to close for eight weeks due to repairs and will reopen in late August.

During this time, the trail will be closed off to the public to allow crews to safely complete repairs.

The County of Kauai is asking the public to follow all posted closure signage and to avoid the trail during the closure period for safety.
