Suspect arrested after critical stabbing in Kalihi
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police have arrested a suspect accused of critically stabbing a man in Kalihi.
First responders were alerted to the incident at around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Waterhouse and Bannister streets.
According to police, the 24-year-old victim and the suspect were involved in an argument that escalated, and the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim and fled the scene.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services administered advanced life-saving treatment and took the victim to the hospital in critical condition for further treatment.

Police said detectives positively identified the 26-year-old suspect. He was arrested in Kaimuki on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
Charges will be sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney, police said.
