First Alert Forecast: Breezy trade winds persist through the weekend, scattered showers expected through next week
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The trade winds are set to stick around over the next week. Expect sustained trade winds between 15 and 25 miles per hour over the weekend, with some gusts potentially climbing closer to 30 mph.

Some scattered showers are expected on Saturday and Sunday, but will be mostly confined to windward and mauka locations. Skies are also expected to dry out during each afternoon.
However, some increased moisture is expected to move over the state throughout next week. Expect an increase in showers throughout all of next week, with the potential for some downpours.

The current south swell will be dropping through Friday night, and another moderate south pulse is due in on Saturday. East shores remain rough and choppy.
