5 displaced after Pearl City residential fire

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Five people were displaced after a house fire in Pearl City on Wednesday evening.

The Honolulu Fire Department said they received a 911 call at 7:51 p.m. reporting a residential fire at 2228 Auhuhu St.

Firefighters arrived about eight minutes later and found flames coming from the rear of the second floor of the two-story home.

Crews secured a water supply and launched an offensive attack, bringing the blaze under control at 8:37 p.m. The fire was fully extinguished at 8:56 p.m.

The American Red Cross was called to assist the home’s five displaced occupants — two adults and three children.
