HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – June marks the first day of Pride Month, and flags will be raised across the state in celebration.<\/p>\n

Honolulu Hale and the Neal S. Blaisdell Center will be lit up with the rainbow colors of pride from sundown Monday through sunrise on Friday.<\/p>\n

The city said a pride flag will fly outside of the Mission Memorial Auditorium throughout June.<\/p>\n

Pride Month is celebrated in June in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Protests. Here in Honolulu, Pride is also celebrated in October along with LGBTQ+ History Month and National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.<\/p>\n
