HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man accused of ramming a stolen pickup into police vehicles in Kalaeloa appeared in court Friday.<\/p>\n

Dane Na Hoo Ikaika O Kalalea Lemes-Keller, 34, was charged Thursday with assault on a law enforcement officer, second-degree assault, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, criminal property damage, terroristic threatening, and promoting a dangerous drug.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, the charges stem from a May 19 incident in which four police officers and a corporal were searching for Lemes-Keller on an outstanding $30,000 warrant.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, officers found Lemes-Keller in the driver\u2019s seat of a stolen Toyota Tacoma in a junkyard on Monterey Street.<\/p>\n

Court documents said officers took cover after Lemes-Keller allegedly reversed into a chain-link fence.<\/p>\n

Court documents said Lemes-Keller then accelerated and hit the passenger side of an unmarked police vehicle while a corporal was seated in the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n

He also allegedly sideswiped several vehicles, knocked down part of a fence and hit another unmarked police vehicle twice before the Toyota Tacoma became disabled, court documents said.<\/p>\n

Police tackled Lemes-Keller and recovered a fanny pack from his waist containing a glass cylinder pipe with white and brown residue, and what appeared to be a pistol magazine, court documents said.<\/p>\n

Lemes-Keller is due back in court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. Bail was set at $250,000.<\/p>\n
