KAILUA-KONA (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii Island police arrested and charged two men in connection with a stabbing in Holualoa on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Brandon Damian Urzua, 25, and Brayan Damian Urzua, 27, both of Kailua-Kona, were charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and other related offenses.<\/p>\n

Shortly before 11 p.m., on Saturday, Kona patrol officers responded to reports of a weapons incident at the Kona Imin Center in Holualoa.<\/p>\n

Police say a fight involving multiple people broke out after a graduation party, leaving two men stabbed. <\/p>\n

Brandon Urzua was identified as the suspect who allegedly stabbed the men, and Brayan Urzua was identified as an alleged accomplice. <\/p>\n

Both were arrested, as well as two other men who were reportedly involved in the fight.<\/p>\n

According to police, a 41-year-old Kailua-Kona man was stabbed in the left thigh and was treated by medics at the scene.<\/p>\n

The second victim, a 39-year-old Holualoa Man, was reportedly stabbed in the left hip, which penetrated his pelvic region and caused internal damage and significant blood loss. <\/p>\n

He was transported to the Kona Community Hospital in critical condition and was later flown to Queens Medical Center on Oahu for further treatment.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Brandon Urzua was charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and two counts of Assault in the Second Degree. His bail was set at $1.2 million. <\/p>\n

Brayan Urzua was charged as an accomplice for the same crimes. His bail was set at $1.15 million.<\/p>\n

The other two men accused of being involved in the fight were released, pending further investigation.<\/p>\n

The Hawaii Police Department\u2019s Area II Criminal Investigation Section is asking witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to call Detective Jeremiah Hull at (808) 326-4646, Ext. 3224, or email Jeremiah.Hull@hawaiipolice.gov. <\/p>\n
