{"id":2802,"date":"2026-07-19T07:35:59","date_gmt":"2026-07-19T07:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=2802"},"modified":"2026-07-19T07:35:59","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T07:35:59","slug":"maui-police-respond-to-disorderly-incident-in-lahaina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=2802","title":{"rendered":"Maui police respond to disorderly incident in Lahaina"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<section>\n<p>LAHAINA (HawaiiNewsNow) &#8211; A man was arrested after an alleged assault stemming from a disorderly incident involving 30 people in Lahaina Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=2801\">First Alert Forecast: Locally breezy trades, mostly dry Sunday<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The incident happened at around 10 p.m. in the pool area of Kaanapali Alii on 50 Nohea Kai Dr.<\/p>\n<p>Officers with the Maui Police Department arrived on scene at around 10:10 p.m. and located about 10 to 15 individuals gathered near the pool area; several had visible injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said seven victims from California, ranging in age from 17 to 62, reported that a large group of juveniles had allegedly assaulted multiple members of their party before fleeing before police arrived. <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>According to MPD, one victim told investigators that he and his family were at the pool when an unknown male ran toward the group asking for help.
