HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Nice trade wind weather! This coming week, you can expect steady trade winds to blow across the islands, with some areas getting a bit windier than others. You\u2019ll also see showers on the windward sides of the islands and in the inland areas\u2014that\u2019s pretty normal for this time of year. Late next week, there might be a little more moisture in the air, especially around the Big Island, which could mean a few more showers. <\/p>\n

The Next Few Days:<\/b> A big area of high pressure is sitting north of Hawaii and will stick around for the next several days. This is keeping steady trade winds blowing across the islands\u2014sometimes pretty breezy in certain spots. You\u2019ll see scattered showers popping up on the windward sides of the islands and in the inland areas. Some of these showers might even spill over to the leeward sides, but nothing extreme. The moisture levels in the air should stay pretty normal for this time of year.<\/p>\n

Late Next Week:<\/b> Toward the end of next week, a weak low-pressure system might pass south of Hawaii, bringing a little extra moisture to the islands. This could mean a few more showers, especially on the Big Island. But it won\u2019t last long\u2014moisture levels should go back to normal pretty quickly.<\/p>\n

Looking Further Ahead:<\/b> Expected to start moving northeast and weakening by the middle of next week. As it weakens, the trade winds should calm down and there should be fewer showers overall. Things might even start to dry out a bit by late next weekend. However, meteorologists are also keeping an eye on the tropical areas far away from Hawaii to see if any storms might develop there\u2014but it\u2019s way too early to know if anything would affect the islands. Bottom line: expect some changes next week, but we\u2019ll know more as the forecast gets closer.<\/p>\n
