HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Laotian food truck Saap Saap is bringing the flavors of Laos to Honolulu.<\/p>\n

Owners Rocky and Tamara Chandara joined HNN\u2019s Sunrise to talk about their mobile cafe, which serves Laotian curries and sausage, and Japanese matcha drinks. Meals are served with aromatic blue butterfly pea sticky rice.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are the first mobile cafe on the island that combines both premium matchas and hojichas from Kyoto and Yame Japan along with Lao fusion,\u201c Tamara Chandara said. <\/p>\n

\u201cRocky makes our Lao sausages from scratch, a 10-12 hour process.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can find them on weekday mornings at UH Manoa\u2019s Food Truck Row and most Saturdays at the Pearlridge Center night market from 5-9 p.m. They are also available for catering.<\/p>\n
