HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Incoming bands of moisture will increase showers for the first half of the coming week. The first one will move through the islands from east to west through Monday evening. <\/p>\n

Tuesday will be drier, but then another area of moisture will bring a second round of showers Tuesday night through Thursday morning. <\/p>\n

Some of the showers may be locally heavy, especially with the second batch of moisture. The trade winds will continue through the week, decreasing the chance for widespread flash flooding. So while we\u2019re not anticipating a flood watch to be issued, there\u2019s a First Alert for possible flood advisories, so be on the lookout for those.<\/p>\n

Also get ready for some muggier conditions. The two moisture bands will bring higher humidity levels, with dewpoints increasing to the lower 70s beginning Monday and lasting through at least midweek.<\/p>\n

In surf, a small long-period south swell is on the way down. A larger swell is expected in the coming weekend. East shore waves will remain rough and choppy from the trade wind swell, while surf along north-facing shores will be nearly flat.<\/p>\n
