{"id":1923,"date":"2026-06-27T13:34:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-27T13:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=1923"},"modified":"2026-06-27T13:34:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-27T13:34:23","slug":"applications-open-for-hawaii-county-kona-low-business-recovery-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=1923","title":{"rendered":"Applications open for Hawaii County Kona low business recovery program"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<section>\n<p>HAWAII ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) &#8211; Applications for the County of Hawaii\u2019s Kona Low Business Recovery Grant Program for eligible businesses impacted by the storms are now open.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=1921\">Hawaii awarded $27.5M to prevent lead exposure in drinking water<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The county said $475,000 has been allocated to Hawaii Island for the recovery effort and will be administered by the Department of Research and Development in partnership with the state\u2019s Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.<\/p>\n<p>The reward from the county can be used for recovery needs, including equipment repair, temporary relocation costs and water damage.<\/p>\n<p>The county said grant awards will be based on an applicant\u2019s gross annual revenue as reflected in the most recently filed federal tax return:<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>County officials said businesses must have 500 or fewer employees and must demonstrate storm-related unmet need.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiimovinginsider.com\/?p=1919\">Gov.
