HANALEI (HawaiiNewsNow) – Kauai officials advised residents and visitors to avoid Hanalei Bay due to heavy runoff and brown water Friday.<\/p>\n

The Ocean Safety Bureau posted warning signs and is monitoring the area. Swimming and other activities at the bay are not recommended.<\/p>\n

It comes during a threat of heavy showers that could cause flooding across the state.<\/p>\n
